Hello, My name is Anna Wójs. I’m 27 years old and am from Poland. Two years ago I qualified as an Art teacher. In the last school year I worked at Lincoln Christ’s Hospital School in England as a Comenius Assistant in the Art department and have been there from September 2012 to July 2013 . My previous international experience includes an Erasmus Scholarship in Greece where I prepared my diploma in painting. My area of interest is focused mostly on Fine Arts, in particular painting, drawing, engraving and sculpture. I’m also interested in different techniques which are on the border of arts and crafts or functional art. My other interest is travelling and studying new places, people and their culture. Working in an English school I notice a lot of differences between the English education system and the Polish education system. The main differences are in the areas of timetabling, of working with students, the technical resources available, internet access and access to a printer. In Art the use of various techniques, the link with history of art and contemporary art. Many differences but my conclusion is we can all learn a lot from each other. So why blog? Simply - there is no border to connection and cooperation between us. I can share with you the knowledge that I have learned from my host school. I can show you how effectively we use many techniques I have never used before. I can show you the work of our students and in return I can see and learn from the interesting things that happen in your school or you are doing. I invite all of you who are willing to cooperate.
Witam, nazywam się Anna Wójs. Jestem absolwentką Edukacji artystycznej w zakresie sztuk plastycznych na Uniwersytecie Pedagogicznym w Krakowie. Ostatni rok spędziłam w Anglii na Asystenturze Comeniusa, pracując w Lincoln Hrist's Hospital School jako asystent nauczycieli na przedmiotach ze sztuk pięknych, tekstyliów i fotografii. Było to dla mnie bardzo wzbogacające doświadczenie, dzięki któremu rozwinęłam swoje umiejętności dydaktyczne, nauczyłam się nowych technik plastycznych, mogłam inspirować się pomysłami na zajęcia oraz sposobami pracy z uczniami. Wyjazd ten był też inspirujący dla mnie jako artystki. Najwięcej radości sprawiły mi nowe techniki, które poznałam w mojej szkole goszczącej, a o których wcześniej nie słyszałam, bądź nie miałam okazji ich wypróbować. LCHS to szkoła, w której uczy się blisko 1400 uczniów, a około 20% z nich to uczniowie obcojęzyczni. Pracować w takim środowisku z uczniami w wieku 11-18 lat to nie lada wyzwanie. Jednak decyzja o wyjeździe to najlepsze co mogłam zrobić. Dlatego też chcę się podzielić swoimi doświadczeniami z wami na tym oto blogu.
